The Dindori Pranit SevaMarg model of service for the downtrodden was laid down directly by Bhagvan Shri Swami Samarth Maharaj (1149-1878). This work was carried forward by Sadguru Narayandasji Pithle Maharaj (1878-1974), Sadguru Moredada (1922-1988) and is being run now by His Holiness His Holiness Gurumauli well from over four decades.
For the past two decades, His Holiness Gurmauli has been executing a unique 18-point Rural Development Programme (RDP) from Shree Gurupeeth, Trimbakeshwar that conducts practical workshops, study tours, seminars and training for one and all, free of cost, all over India.
The aim is to raise a new generation, proud of his or her culture and with a scientific bent of mind and confident to face the future. The SevaMarg has achieved this to a great extent and hundreds of social and non-government organisations have recognised this work and honoured His Holiness His Holiness Gurumauli for the achievements.
SevaMarg runs around 5000 Centres (Seva Kendra) in India and abroad. This Centres (Seva Kendra) are not merely temples but they are centres for promoting moral values. Priority is given to ‘Balsanskar’, i.e. value education for children in the SevaMarg and it is one of the most important goals of the SevaMarg. If value education is to be given to anyone then it must be given from an early age to change the child’s future for good. This helps a child to become optimistic, confident, courageous, philanthropist, obedient to parents, tolerant, skilled, pride of the house & society, a firm believer and becomes a successful personality. All the literature is provided at very low cost by SevaMarg. This comes very handy in one’s spiritual as well as worldly life. His Holiness Gurumauli throws light on the various subjects like “Numerology, Palmistry, Astrology, Science of Sound and Manipulation of Breathing, Science of Architecture, Ayurvedic Medicine, Vedic Science” etc. through his nectar words and through the literature of the SevaMarg.
SevaMarg has showered bliss in the lives of millions over the past 100 years by imbibing value education in young minds raising an entire generation free from vice and abuse, trained millions of farmers into organic farming & modern techniques of agriculture, built bonds of communal harmony by enhancing interpersonal faith and mutual respect through various activities, conducted successful research to find cure for dreaded diseases like cancer, conducted millions of no-dowry marriages and de-addicted an equally large number of people.
Akhil Bharatiya Shri Swami Samarth Gurupeeth
Sadguru Moredada desired that Shree Kshetra Trimbakeshwar, the divine land of Bhagvan Shiva, should have a spiritual mega-university from where this Seva Marg shall guide the entire world towards material and spiritual upliftment. To realise this dream, Holiness Gurumauli laid the foundation of a huge Gurupeeth on November 1, 1992. It took 12 years for the Gurupeeth to complete.
Gurupeeth is built from daily 1 Rs contribution from Devotees, This symbolises how deeply Seva Marg is rooted in core values. To signify the contribution of common people for Gurupeeth, a big 1 Rs Coin is placed at the entrance of Gurupeeth.
His Holiness Gurumauli further enhanced the spiritual glory of Shree Gurupeeth by installing here consecrated forms of Dash Mahavidyas & Ashta Bhairavas, the ten forms of Goddess Parvati & the eight forms of the Soldiers of Shiva besides several other symbols of high spiritual energy.
